In June 2020, Hillmorton Football Club announced their new partnership with one of the best Academies in the country, Rugby Town Football Club Academy of Football.
From the start of 20/21 season, Hillmorton Football Club will become the official feeder section offering team age groups ranging from Under 5’s to Under 16’s.
This unique partnership will be hugely beneficial for both clubs and provide a clear pathway into Rugby Town’s full time academy programme and first team, furthermore, enhancing the development of the local community’s junior footballers.
Academy Manager Liam O’Neill commented “This is huge news for the Academy and a positive step forward for junior football in our local community. It is a link that we have been trying to establish over a long period of time and finally we have been able to confirm this partnership with a prominent local junior football club that is steeped in tradition”.
From the new season, the Academy’s Under 18’s youth team will wear the claret and sky blue colours of Hillmorton Football Club.
